In just a few short years Becky McDonough has made her mark in the male dominated world of Monster Jam, thrilling fans all over the world as the driver of El Toro Loco. Her story is unique and an inspiration to so many young girls who are fans of the sport and hope to follow in her shoes someday. Her determination to make her name as a superstar driver in the incredibly popular and growing sport led her to take a path to get into the driver’s seat that was previously uncommon for females: getting into the sport as a mechanic. First Becky went to school to acquire the necessary mechanical training. Studying High Performance Engines and Chassis Fabrication, led to landing her a job starting on the ground level as a Monster Jam truck technician, literally learning about the 10,000 pound crowd pleasing machines from the wheels up. Eventually she became the Crew Chief for Nitro Circus. McDonough worked hard to learn that part of the craft and showed her ability to work with a team attitude, developing a tremendous chemistry with her driver Cam McQueen on the Nitro Circus team. That extreme team with Becky as the Crew Chief and Cam as the driver that would make history in Jacksonville, Florida, when Nitro Circus became the first truck to cleanly land a back flip in a scored Monster Jam freestyle competition.
Despite her success as a Crew Chief, Becky never abandoned her long time desire to be a driver and she finally got that opportunity. Becky made her debut as a driver in Monster Jam competition when she climbed into the cockpit of Donkey Kong during the 2010 events in Costa Rica. Her impressive performances landed her the coveted full time seat as a driver that she so desired, starting in 2011 when she competed in Dragon’s Breath. In 2012 McDonough’s career continued to blossom when she joined the popular El Toro Loco team.
From slinging wrenches, to pedal stomping, Becky's popularity continues to grow. "Mizz El Toro Loco" as she likes to call herself, is enjoying the ride of her life, living out her dream, traveling the world competing in her 10,000 pound beast, El Toro Loco. While still a member of one of the sport’s most successful and widely loved teams, fans know when they see the hot pink bandana on the horn, the "Mizz" is in town and ready to Let Er' Buck!
In 2015, McDonough starred in Zach Linley and the Rebel Daredevils music video "Plat Book"
